My Container Garden

I did some decorating in the small backyard of the Yellow Victorian Townhouse. Small gardens are easy to maintain and keeping plants in containers makes them easy to move around. Or to throw out and replace if one doesn't have a green thumb.
The furnitures in the pictures are old items while the plants are something I am starting to add to the houses I build.

The puppies are still with Moon. They're so cute, I can't seemed to detach them yet.

My Victorian Row Houses

My next house project is inspired by the Victorian Row Houses of San Francisco. I'm calling them the Victorian Townhouse Series. So far I've completed 2 houses. I plan to do 4 but I couldn't wait to show what I have done so far! I'm really excited about these houses.

These are 5 houses set side by side in a row. I called them The Blue Victorian Townhouse and The Green Victorian Townhouse. Yes, it's not fancy but I named them so I will remember them easier. The next two will most lightly be in pink and yellow.

I have tried to keep the land impact below 200, so I've combined meshes and sculpts and prims. Sculpts are still great for big sizes because unlike mesh, they don't increase in land impact when the size is increased. I've even added some foliage to the builds.

The houses are available for viewing at the Simple Things Mainstore and bigger and clearer pictures can be seen on my flickr.

Dotty Red

My item for this week's Hello Tuesday is a polka dot retro dress.
{FS} Polkadot Red Ribbon Retro Dress HTAug26 50L

I took this picture using high graphic, default windlight and shadows. I notice that default makes the best shadows for me, but it does tend to be slightly darker so I had to add contrast in Pixlr. Personally, I prefer to just take pictures in medium graphic and using Nam's windlight. Shadows and depth aren't very important to me but sometimes, it is enjoyable to use them as I did in these pictures.

A Storybook Cottage

Continuing my whimsical cottage theme, I have completed this storybook-style house in the style of Gothic Tudor.
I wanted to make use of a tower. It became the entrance.

The base is 28x30 but the house itself is smaller. It is unfurnished but I have included the red roses and the pine trees.

The cottage from above.

The library or bedroom on the ground floor is connected to the bathroom.

The bathroom is spacious.

The dining-room can be seen from the kitchen.

The dining-room from the stairs.

View from the entrance.

The living-room.

The bedroom.

This house is partial mesh with a land impact of 168. I have used furnitures from Bazar, Depoz and The Loft.
There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper floor and the main bedroom has a little balcony.

The house is now available for viewing at the Simple Things Mainstore where you can purchase it through the vendor or the Marketplace.

Have a great weekend!
