It's another Secret Wednesday at Liv-Glam and I'm loving these styles for Moon and Carter. Because Carter looks so cute and she's like the younger sister, I tend to dress her up in the more youthful styles. Check out those cut-outs at the waist. Now that is retro.

Monday meme: Windlight setting challenge

Meme instructions: Answer the following questions about windlight settings and share some that you’ve created yourself. Don’t forget to leave a link to your post in this meme’s comments.

1. Do you use windlight while taking pictures? If not, why not? I do. 
2. When taking a closeup snapshot for a profile picture, which windlight preset do you use most often? I usually go for Nam's Optimal skin and prims but when I want shadows, I would just use the default setting and then use pixlr to get the contrast and shades.
3. Which windlight presets do you use for full body portraits? The answer would be the same as above. I'm really a simple girl:)
4. If you do landscape photography, which windlights do you use for that most often? I used to go crazy on all the windlight settings available in firestorm, but now I would just use the default setting and use the slider to choose the sun/moon slider and then use pixlr again.
5. Do you have any tricks or tips that you could share for using Windlight effectively? If using pixlr is a trick/tip, then that's it. I usually mix a lot of these settings together to get the effect that is pleasing to my eyes.
6. Have you created any windlights that you would be willing to share with us? I am sure my brain would explode if I have to figure out how to create windlights and upload it too, so no, I don't have any personal windlight settings.

Most of the time, I don't remember what I use, but in the picture above, I tried so I could show.  I went and mixed the Antonio setting and the Alex setting because they gave the picture some depth and then I added yellow and blue and moved the contrast slider in Pixlr. I usually end with a frame but not this time.

Is this the last days of Summer?

For me, it's summer everyday of the year with a dose of rain spotted here and there. And when I say here and there, I really mean it because when it rains right where I am, it doesn't mean it's raining a few meters away. That's how hilarious the rain-spotting is here.

I've been meaning to shop for my man alt. The last time I went shopping for him was a few weeks ago. I have the hardest time finding pants for him. Most of the pants and shorts that catches my eyes, when I demoed it on my avatar, falls and shows off his butt. Not that he doesn't have an awesome butt, but really, does he need to go out like that?

Anyway, I was browsing the marketplace and I saw these hawaiian shirts and immediately log my man avatar to the Blank Line shop. This is a new shop for me. I'm so happy with the shirts and the cardi and even though I complaint about the sneaky butt, I bought the shorts too. My excuse is that the shirts and cardi covers that area when he wears them :)

Moon is wearing an old favorite from Liv-Glam. The mainstore moved recently.

I've pixlred my pictures as usual, coz I love to pretty them up, but I don't photoshop them coz I'm not interested in learning this skill.

Lazy day at the Candy Store with my sister

A while back, my avatars used to be blondes and that is no accident. Although I am usually aware what is happening around me, I can be clueless sometimes. Like I had no idea that when I syndicate, my blogs would automatically be posted on the feeds. I thought I had to post each blogpost every time and I can pick and choose which post not to send out because I don't want to send out a post that has too much personal rants in it or that other blog of mine which is really just a database for the stuffs I'm selling on Marketplace.

Oh well. There is a local saying: The rice has become porridge.
You know you can't turn porridge into rice again so what's done is done. And porridge is not bad.

I didn't get to shop much in-world today, but I did go to TDR Fusion and Carter got a new skin from Essence. So today's style is rummaged from the girls' inventories. I always think of Moon and Carter as sisters and while I'm dressing them up, I would imagine the things they would be doing. I don't have a sister in real life. There was just me and my brother. But I have 2 daughters and it gives me the greatest pleasure to see them both loving and supporting each other even though they are both as different as cheese and chalk!

Summer Fair at Aero Pine Park

After doing the Monday Meme, I caught the exploring bug and it so happened that I saw a post on google+ about the Summer Fair at Aero Pine Park yesterday and made a mental note to go there as soon as possible. After all, summer is almost over for people in the north and who knows how long the fair will be open.

I've pixlred my pictures so that it would look pretty for me:) A larger version(4000x2100) will be on my flickr later. I'm enjoying taking landscape pictures again.

I went to the Fair on my own so it wasn't as fun as it would have been if I had company. You can't giggle and squeal when you're driving the bumper car and there's nobody to bump into or get high on the ferris wheel but the snapshots compensate that. So drag a friend or two to the Fair and have fun!

It's a Friday

It's not just any ordinary Friday, but a Friday where Belleza puts out their 50L skin for the FLF. I wasn't sure if it would be this Friday or the next because it's still August and not a new month. I always look forward to their offers and even if Moon no longer wear fair skin for long period, a 50L skin from Belleza to put on for photoshoots is totally worth it.

I have also completed my latest house. It's another modern home. Concrete. I'm calling it Serenity because of the plain neutral colours.

I still need to live in it for a few more days before I pack it off to my marketplace.

I was boxing up tops when one of the blouses got me into a dilemma whether I should box it or let it because I still have great attachment for the style and so I put it on and got into a styling mode.... but you know, in the end, this is what came out of that mode:
