Club Under Construction

It was time to upgrade Chip's One Night Stand Club.

It's still the same squarish design because I wanted to save on prims. I only have 692 prims on the parcel and I wanted to leave 200 prims free for musicians' instruments and their tip jars and such.

The interior layout hasn't changed either, but I have re-textured everything and made the dressing-room smaller since nobody stayed in there longer than 10 mins.

I've also changed the furnitures and upgraded the couple dances and the bar.

I spent a whole lot of hard earned lindens and it was worth it except....
this annoying fact and I have to get this off my chest.

Have you ever bought something and was so excited to use it and then found out that there was a flaw in it? Well that happened to me when I bought a sofa set. The items were supposed to be copiable, no mod and no transfer but one of them was not copiable. It just makes sense that if every item in the box was copiable except that one, it has to be an error. I can understand making that mistake when you have so many things to set permissions to. So I imed the owner and pointed out the error and asked for a copiable one. She didn't reply. After a couple of hours, I send a notecard and still no reply. I would have thought she would be happy that somebody detected an error and she would be able to correct it for future customers.

It's been 24 hours now. The thing is, earlier that day, when I tried to buy that sofa set, and I could not, I imed her and she replied immediately.

It sure makes me wonder if after getting my lindens, I no longer have the courtesy of customer service.

In the end, I found out how this error occurred because I am a builder, but I cannot imagine how frustrating others who has no inkling would find all this.

Hair Fair 2013 Port Sim

I;m not sure if I already have a similar short hair style as this hair from Chichikie called Pepper. But even if I do, I probably have it in blonde. It's only now that I'm starting to collect dark coloured hair.
The sundress is from Finesmith and cost 89L for group members.

My modern house is almost finished except for the roof. So while I procrastinate on completing the roof, I decorated the poolside and  brought out Carter and pretend they're having barbeque.

Furnishing a home

Choosing furnitures is tough.
Especially when I already have the ones I love, but I'm beginning to get bored with the same chairs, same sofas, same beds in every houses I make so yesterday I decided to splurge a lot of lindens on furnitures sets from The Loft. I like sets. That way I don't have to think about the combinations. Also, individual pieces usually get forgotten in the inventory and I can't remember what I've bought.

I thought of getting a formal-looking set for the living area but sometimes formal is boring even if it fits in with this dormer house.

That can lead to the outside. I love huge windows that lets in lots of light. Not good for cold weathers I know but this is SL so I don't want to think about that kind of logic.

This home by the Sea

One of the things I love to do in SL is house decorating. I don't have the time to do it in a leisurely way anymore because I am always in a hurry to pack up the house once it's completed. Fortunately, I prefer minimal clutter.

The thing about contemporary classical furnitures, once you have them, you don't need to buy anymore furnitures because they're timeless.

Moon wearing MIEL Nautica Dress fatpack for FLF. I didn't go to the shop but bought it at the marketplace. At the moment it's still 50L.
I am loving my underwater home....which doesn't have any house or furnitures. Just landscaping and  fishes and dolphins.

The colours just blow me away. My daughters, who are scuba beginners laughed when I showed them Moon's place. Although most of the time I am up on the sky platform building.

This furniture set from Lame reminded me of another furniture set I had a few years back, except now the prims are low. I bought the set from this month's Fameshed. I only have 692 prims on my parcel so I have to be very resourceful all the time.
I still haven't figured out why my dog isn't wandering eventhough I had set him to wander but I still find him fascinating. It's so adorable how his AI makes him do only the animations I had praised him. The best part is I don't have to fork out lindens to feed him. Doesn't make sense to me that I have to feed virtual pets when I don't have to feed my avatar.
