One of the reasons I decided I should learn Blender was to keep my neurons active. I read somewhere that keeping those electrical pulses working makes for sharp thinking and I didn't want my brain to go to waste. I also wanted to be up to date with technology. After all, that was one of the reasons I became interested in secondlife.
After 5 years, the virtual world is no longer that exciting. It's a lot like the real world even when you venture into the world of roleplaying which is supposed to be all about fantasy. A whole lot of drama, back-biting and back-stabbing. I would rather be a recluse.....
Now all I want is to learn blender so I can make mesh houses.
Talking about meshes, while I was browsing the Marketplace, I came upon these 2 dresses and demoed them and! bought them.
Sundae dress in peach by Volstead:
Society dress in ice by Volstead:
I have never heard of the store Volstead before. There is no in-world store but no doubt there will be soon.
Moon didn't look good in the large sizes eventhough she is a big avatar. So because of these dresses, my avatar is now a medium to small size depending on the dresses.
Hmm, a change of skin, a change of shape size.... I guess I'm not as rigid as I thought I was. Always time to change and move on.

Weekly Colour Challenge-ghost white
I wanted to wear a whitish gown and float around like a ghost but that would be too obvious, so instead here is Moon wearing the latest group gift from Coco Designs looking like she is off to class and Jack there is following her.

My new look
Something I picked up at the Boho Culture. In real life I dress like a hippie but in SL, I don't feel like dressing my avatar as one. Except for the flamboyant print, this gown is almost formal.
As expected, most of the clothes at the event are mesh. This gown is from On a Lark. It comes with the accessories. Isn't that great? No need to search my jewellery folder and rack my brain trying to remember the names and images of my baubles. Why do women need so much stuffs? Sometimes I am tempted to just thrash everything and just keep my favorites.
I also changed my avatar's skin this week. I'm gonna miss the cute face of Fiep, but I wanted a face that is mature-looking but still sweet-looking too and I've fallen in love with the [PXL] Faith skin. I've also scaled down my avatar. She no longer towers over everybody else but she's still tall and voluptuous and she's a size Mmesh but sometimes she has to wear a size Lmesh. The fickleness of mesh-wear:/
I also completed my latest house but I'm not satisfied with the exterior so I don't think I'll be putting it up on Marketplace until I redo/renovate the house again.... like adding a door or a wall or retexture that sort of stuffs. But this is how the interior would look like:

cosmic weekly colour challenge
As usual I will try to find old items in my inventory for weekly colour challenges and this week I found a very old Ducknipple Spring dress from 2009! The black sweater didn't look as good now so I used Coco's old black sweater which still looked fine. The bag is from an old FLF. Hair is from Analog Dog. Boots are from Kookie. Skin is from the latest PXL group gift. I never wore any PXL skins before coz they never seemed to be sweet enough for me but I love this latest skin line. I think Moon looks just as sweet as always.

Antique Brass weekly challenge
I had a difficult time trying to look for an antique brass colour....something between brown, gold and brass and then I remembered I have this favorite Azul dress called Aidaspice which fits this week's challenge.

Amaranth colour challenge week 40
I'm wearing an old dress from Ivalde. It's so sad that the in-world store is closed. Maybe if private sims cost less... but then again, who'd want to buy mainland parcels.
My Siamese kitty is from Zooby. That's a very old kitty from Carter's day and it's a transferable kitty. I think they don't make the animals transferable anymore. I have a weakness for Siamese cats because for as long as I can remember, I've always had them. Not the purebred, but mix with Siamese markings. I'm not into buying cats. The 2 cats I own now were strays my daughter brought back from college 4 years ago. And they're the Princesses now!
When I was googling amaranth and I saw some pictures, I realised that's the vegetable I've been eating all this while.. It's called red spinach here. And it's a complete protein too. Wow, just like eggs!
I can't believe this is the 40th week already....

New Home
I finished building another house. My new home at the moment. It reminds me of when we used to holiday up in the hills with grandfather and the rest of his brood. Although that bungalow had more than just 2 bedrooms.
I won't be putting this house up on the marketplace. I thought I'd wait till I know mesh more. Right now this house is 66land impact, but I think I can reduce the roof prims, afterall, there are no attics.
