Something I picked up at the Boho Culture. In real life I dress like a hippie but in SL, I don't feel like dressing my avatar as one. Except for the flamboyant print, this gown is almost formal.
As expected, most of the clothes at the event are mesh. This gown is from On a Lark. It comes with the accessories. Isn't that great? No need to search my jewellery folder and rack my brain trying to remember the names and images of my baubles. Why do women need so much stuffs? Sometimes I am tempted to just thrash everything and just keep my favorites.
I also changed my avatar's skin this week. I'm gonna miss the cute face of Fiep, but I wanted a face that is mature-looking but still sweet-looking too and I've fallen in love with the [PXL] Faith skin. I've also scaled down my avatar. She no longer towers over everybody else but she's still tall and voluptuous and she's a size Mmesh but sometimes she has to wear a size Lmesh. The fickleness of mesh-wear:/
I also completed my latest house but I'm not satisfied with the exterior so I don't think I'll be putting it up on Marketplace until I redo/renovate the house again.... like adding a door or a wall or retexture that sort of stuffs. But this is how the interior would look like:

cosmic weekly colour challenge
As usual I will try to find old items in my inventory for weekly colour challenges and this week I found a very old Ducknipple Spring dress from 2009! The black sweater didn't look as good now so I used Coco's old black sweater which still looked fine. The bag is from an old FLF. Hair is from Analog Dog. Boots are from Kookie. Skin is from the latest PXL group gift. I never wore any PXL skins before coz they never seemed to be sweet enough for me but I love this latest skin line. I think Moon looks just as sweet as always.

Antique Brass weekly challenge
I had a difficult time trying to look for an antique brass colour....something between brown, gold and brass and then I remembered I have this favorite Azul dress called Aidaspice which fits this week's challenge.

Amaranth colour challenge week 40
I'm wearing an old dress from Ivalde. It's so sad that the in-world store is closed. Maybe if private sims cost less... but then again, who'd want to buy mainland parcels.
My Siamese kitty is from Zooby. That's a very old kitty from Carter's day and it's a transferable kitty. I think they don't make the animals transferable anymore. I have a weakness for Siamese cats because for as long as I can remember, I've always had them. Not the purebred, but mix with Siamese markings. I'm not into buying cats. The 2 cats I own now were strays my daughter brought back from college 4 years ago. And they're the Princesses now!
When I was googling amaranth and I saw some pictures, I realised that's the vegetable I've been eating all this while.. It's called red spinach here. And it's a complete protein too. Wow, just like eggs!
I can't believe this is the 40th week already....

New Home
I finished building another house. My new home at the moment. It reminds me of when we used to holiday up in the hills with grandfather and the rest of his brood. Although that bungalow had more than just 2 bedrooms.
I won't be putting this house up on the marketplace. I thought I'd wait till I know mesh more. Right now this house is 66land impact, but I think I can reduce the roof prims, afterall, there are no attics.

Except for the top, everything that I am wearing are old stuffs. Well, the top is old too. It's from the sale going on at Miamai at the moment.
After dressing up, I went to listen to live music.
Chip Takacs performing at the Sunset Sky Lounge.

Things that irritate me in SL
Just like other people in SL, I do have pet peeves.
1. Top on my list would be when I go into a shop to get a freebie and it turned out to be a dollarbie! Why can't store owners differentiate between these 2? I can imagine somebody new who doesn't have a linden to their name going to that shop and realises they still have to PAY!
2. Next would be people who ask for lindens. If you can't afford your SL lifestyle, please change it. What makes them think that I am a bank that they can ask for interest free loans?
3. Next would be demos I have to pay. I think that is so cheap and very unclassy at all. Tells a lot about the person.... like fussy, calculative, unsportsmanlike.... I can go on being negative about them.
4. Shops that are too freaking big! I hate it when I have to wait for hours for things to rez just to buy or look at something. I don't think it matters to shoppers if a shop is small, as long as it's well organized. Maybe it's just me. I'm old. To me, having a darn big shop doesn't tell me that they're successful business persons. This is SL, it's all virtual and if you have the money in RL you can just dump it in to make your business LOOK successful. Of course if they're selling builds and foliages, that's a different story. Getting lost in garden shops is one of my best pasttimes, rl and sl.
5. Prices. I hate it when items that says they're silks or diamonds or gold or any of the expensive real life materials becomes pricey in SL too. It's virtual! Why does a SL diamond ring cost more than a SL glass ring? I can't even feel it or touch it and I gotta pay for just the word?
Hmmm so far everything is about money, but then, isn't that what it is all about nowadays? On to number,
6. Next would be people who gets all bent out of shape when my avatar do things like shoot other avatars and they start regalling me about what happen to some people they know in real life. Excuse me, this is a Virtual World and playing with guns is like when we were kids and playing cops and robbers. Anyway, if you hate it so much, just mute us!
7. People who have all these attachments on them that asks in open chat to label them and gets mad when someone does. WHAT IS THAT? If you don't like strangers typing all sort of nonsense, DO NOT WEAR them in public.
8. Security Orbs and ban lines. I especially hate those when I'm sailing or flying and it takes more than the freaking 3 seconds they let me pass. Excuse me. I had no idea your parcel is FORT KNOX!
I'm sure I have more but at the moment I have cooled down and the things I've typed seemed trivial!
